Peer Group Programs
Working alongside peers in a small group creates a unique opportunity to extend on learning, explore ideas together, and build new connections.
It helps to bridge the gap between individual supports with therapists and real life situations at school and home.
What do Grace's peer group programs look like?
Groups are carefully put together based on age, maturity, personality, and current individual goals. Grace works hard to make sure that each group space feels safe, welcoming, and inclusive to everyone who is a part of it. Groups are kept small at 4-6 members each.

Each group generally meets on a fortnightly basis for a 50-minute session together. We complete activities together, engage in disussions on particular topics, share with the group, and work through crafts and games too. While Grace has particular focuses that she will introduce, based on group and individual goals, everyone in the group is encouraged to raise topics and guide the sessions also.

Parents are kept informed about what is covered each session and the progress that their child is making towards their own goals. Parents are also invited to suggest focuses of upcoming sessions based on what they are seeing as relevant at the moment for their child at home or school. As adolescents get older, their privacy is understood as important for them to build trust in Grace and the group in feeling safe to share.

These groups are primarily designed for girls and adolescents that Grace has met on their assessment journey. However, feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss your child attending a peer group program.
